Jess Doutrich is a one-of-a-kind cat artist, trained at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. She is an Industrial Designer, self-taught painter, and aspiring writer. Since her humble beginnings in French class in 2003, her whimsical, unique, and expressionistic cat art aims to capture the many moods and 'cat-titudes' of the feline kind. Jess loves the stories of the cats (real or imaginary) behind each piece; her original 'mews' being a quirky, yet easy-going grey kitty.
Known for her custom cat portraiture and unique painting style, Jess' artwork has been exhibited around the country, from New York City to Los Angeles. After working in the fashion industry in NYC for several years, Jess now focuses on her own studio work. Jess donates artwork to various auctions that benefit shelter cats, which proves to be one of the most satisfying parts of her work.
Jess’ paintings have been featured in Modern Cat Magazine and The Purrington Post, and she would love to hear from you!
