Yeah! It’s 2019, and what a promising year lies ahead. With some new work on the horizon, a revival in my painting energy (that little bit of a break helped!), and of course, daily inspiration from my cat, Jax…I have high hopes for the next chapter in my work.
2018 was a whirlwind, but some good things happened:
- Established some “limits” for myself; while I love doing custom portraits, it was getting a little overwhelming. So, this year, I will be focusing on new artwork that is outside the custom realm. (Ooh, aah, that sounds interesting, right?). Custom portrait services will become available again, but I will have to keep you all posted on that.
- Upgraded my paint collection, brushes and materials. Fresh new art supplies for a fresh start! I am switching over to Golden acrylic colors from Liquitex, just to try them out.
- Supported many artists this year; from each market I attended, I made sure to purr-chase something where I could, to support fellow budding artists like myself. It’s always a wonderful feeling!
So, what’s in store for 2019? Who knows, and the suspense is all a part of the fun, don’t you think? Wishing you all a good year, with high notes and lots of curious cats to cross your path.
